Opella Privacy Notice

Your personal data will be processed by Opella Healthcare Group SAS in order to:

a) Permit the navigation through and the use of SpotMe Services from an operational and technical point of view;

b) To allow registration and the access to the personal area available in the SpotMe Platform

c) Ensure the security of Data and of the SpotMe Platform;

d) Better understand your scientific areas of interest;

e) To fulfill specific users requests including, but not limited to, contact or assistance requests, etc.;

f) Better meet your expectations with personalized Opella Healthcare Group SAS medical communication and contents;

g) Notify you by email about all Opella Healthcare Group SAS scientific activities;

h) Allow Opella Healthcare Group SAS improve our products and services, including the effectiveness of our communications, the quality and pertinence of our products and services also through the post-event survey that will be launched.

i) Allow the Opella Healthcare entity in your country to provide you with marketing communications for example, personalized information or news about our products and services, newsletters, invitation to our events and webinars or to contribute to our market research.

In order to achieve the purpose(s) described above, the following personal data will be used:

Usage data : The IP addresses or domain names of the devices utilized by the Users, the URI addresses, the time of the request, the method utilized to submit the request to the server, the size of the file received in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the server’s answer, the country of origin, the features of the browser and the operating system utilized by the User, the various time details per visit, the details about the path followed within the SpotMe Platform with special reference to the sequence of pages visited, and other parameters about the device’s operating system and/or the User’s IT environment.
Other personal data: The Data collected by the SpotMe App or Backstage for registration purposes are: email address, first name, last name, and in case you choose to upload it: professional phone number, audio recording, pictures, videos, company name, job title, office location.

Your data will be processed, on the basis of:

i) the performance of a contract for the purposes under letter A to C, For these purpose we need to process your data otherwise Opella Healthcare Group SAS won’t be able to grant you its Services;

ii) the legitimate interest of Opella Healthcare Group SAS in granting you the best customer experience and to keep improving its services and products for the purposes from letter D to H. You will always have the right to object to such processing visiting the paragraph about your right below.

iii) your consent for the purpose under letter I. You can withdraw your consent at any time visiting the paragraph about your right below. Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to your withdrawal.

Your data will be processed in a confidential and secure way and transferred only to the following authorized recipients to achieve the above purposes SpotMe, its subsidiaries and subcontractors.

Your data may be transferred outside of European Economic Area. In such a case, Opella Healthcare Group SAS implements adequate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses of the European Commission, available upon request.

Your data will be kept only for the necessary time to achieve the above-mentioned purpose.

Data Retention for events

Your data is kept as long as the event is ongoing, and then retention period is divided in 2 steps :

The event and data associated is available on SpotMe Plaform until 45 days after the event end-date.

After 45 days, the event is archived on the SpotMe platform and all event-related information / data will be deleted after 2 years.

Data Retention for Content hub:

Data related to reactions (views, likes,…) per asset/content will be kept as long as the asset is live, and then deleted.

Data Retention for third party marketing communications:

Normally, your data will be used to send you marketing communications until you do not withdraw your consent. Anyway, if you should have any specific question about how Opella Healthcare entity in your country is processing your data please write to CHC-Privacy-Office@sanofi.com

Your rights

According to applicable data protection law, you may, where required by applicable law and subject to limitations which may apply by exceptions or legal requirements, be entitled:

To have access upon simple request to your Personal Data. You may receive a copy of such data; unless it is directly available to you, for instance within your personal account
To obtain a rectification of your Personal Data if inaccurate, incomplete or obsolete
To obtain the deletion of your Personal Data in the situations set forth by applicable data protection law (‘right to be forgotten’)
To withdraw your consent, at any time, for the activities without affecting the lawfulness of the processing where your Personal Data is used on the basis of your consent
To object to the processing of your Personal Data, where your Personal Data has been used on the basis of legitimate interests of Opella Healthcare Group SAS, in which case you will need to justify your request by explaining to us your particular situation
To request a limitation of the data processing in the situations set forth by applicable law
To request that some of the Personal Data you provided to us is brought to you, or to another data controller, in a commonly used, machine-readable format”

If you deem that your rights have not been respected, you have the right to lodge a complaint to the data protection authority in your country.

Users who are not comfortable with the functioning of the SpotMe App may delete the SpotMe App from their personal mobile device or may request the deletion of their Personal Data to the Event Organizer.
